Terms of Use

Effective Date: April 6, 2026

Welcome to Sentio. By accessing or using the Sentio website (focusquest.site) and the Sentio application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Description of Service

Sentio is an attention protocol tool designed to help users regulate their relationship with social media applications. Sentio uses session timing, breathing prompts, mood check-ins, and interface proxying to provide structure around app usage. Sentio does not block, delete, or restrict access to any application.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Sentio. By using our services, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian.

3. Account & Access

During the early access period, access to Sentio is provided by invitation through our waitlist. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree not to share your access with others or attempt to circumvent the attention protocol for purposes contrary to the service's intent.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding associated with Sentio — including the attention protocol system, UI design, and copywriting — are the intellectual property of Sentio and are protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without written permission.

6. Device Permissions

Sentio requires Screen Time access (iOS) to operate its attention protocol. By granting this permission, you authorize Sentio to manage session timing and app-open routing for your selected applications. Sentio does not access, read, or store any content from within those applications.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Sentio is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific expectations. Sentio is a behavioral tool, not a medical device, and should not be considered a substitute for professional mental health advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sentio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of your use of the service.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of Sentio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Sentio at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the service at any time by removing the application from your device.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
