otto holds your apps. he doesn't watch what's on them. here's what that means in plain english.

what we collect

nothing that leaves your phone. full stop.

how cove works on-device

cove uses Apple's Screen Time API (Family Controls framework) to enforce session windows and recharge periods. this happens entirely on your device. apple processes Family Controls data under their own privacy policy — cove never sees it.

your session history, window lengths, and the "hours reclaimed" stat are stored locally in SwiftData on your phone. if you enable optional iCloud sync, that data moves between your own devices via your personal iCloud account — it does not pass through cove's servers because cove has no servers.

the waitlist

if you joined the waitlist on our website, your email address is stored with MailerLite (our email provider). we use it only to notify you when cove is available on the App Store. we don't sell it, share it, or use it for anything else. you can unsubscribe from any email we send.

children

cove is not directed at children under 13. if you believe a child has used the waitlist form, email us and we'll remove the record.

changes

if we change this policy materially, we'll update the date at the top and, if we have your email, notify you. the current version is always at this URL.
